Stats for Season 6 of 2012 !!!

Congrats to all on a very good 2012 for One Bad Inning !!! 

We met new folks, saw a few leave with injuries, and totally had a good time ... 

Following are the stats for the just completed Season 6 ,,, we can start discussing what we should track for 2013 and be ready for next Thursday ...

3rd Place in Best of Victory Lane Tourney !!!

One Bad Inning fought back from a 16-0 deficit after 1 1/2 innings of Round Robin game 1 to earn the #2 Seed in the 2012 Best of Victory Lane softball tourney Bracket play ... The #2 Seed earned OBI a bye in the first round of the single elimination portion of the tourney...

After a major comeback late in Game 4 ,,, Just For Fun used stalling tactics to avoid allowing OBI another opportunity at the plate... Lucky for them I say ...

One Bad Inning finished 2-2 and all enjoyed Saturday at the park ... Here are the details ...

Have worked up the stats for the tourney ... KC picked Larry for MVP as both his Offense and Defense were tremendous ... I probably lean towards KC as he made one out ,,, and it was a productive Sacrifice Fly in his first at bat of Game 4 ... ;~)

Barring Continued Downpour ,,,,,,

This will be a unique week for One Bad Inning ...

First, due to last week's rainout,,, the final week of the 2012 League Season is rescheduled for Thursday, December 20th... However, Mother Nature dropped a load on the park last night,,, so we shall see if the drainage at Victory Lane is optimal...

9-6-1 One Bad Inning plays on Field 2 in an 8:15 / 9:15 doubleheader... Both games are against the 3-10-1 (Better than their record) BMW of Scottsdale...

Then on Saturday, December 22nd,,, One Bad Inning plays in the inaugural Best of Victory Lane tournament... We will play 3 Round Robin games and if we make the Top 6 seeds of the 10 Team field,,, will play a single elimination tournament bracket...

Round Robin games are scheduled as follows:

9:00 AM on Field 6 vs. Far From Limpin'... 
11:20 AM on Field 1 vs. Phoenix Cartel... 
12:30 PM on Field 1 vs. Shankers...  

Single Elimination Bracket play begins at 2pm... Championship Game is at 4:30PM...


Please remember to bring $80 for the Dec. 22 Best of Victory Lane tournament  and the entry fee for Season 1 of 2013.

Rain Much !?!?!!?!???

Season 6, Week 7...

Thursday, November 29th,,,  7-4-1 One Bad Inning plays on Field 3 in a 8:15 / 9:15 doubleheader... Game one is against 5-6-1 Greenside Up,,, and then we play 4-6-2 Midlife Crisis...

If anyone has pics from the pre-Turkey Day double header played last Wednesday night, send them to me or simply post them to the blog for all to see... A great time was had by all,,, although I think we can all agree that Shilo had the best time cuz he was there but then again,,, not really...

** Don't forget we should begin funding the tournament pool and Season 7 starting this week or next... Bringing monies early will only win you brownie points ... ;~)

Season 6 Week 6 ,,, Game On !!!

Thursday, November 15th,,, the 6-3-1 One Bad Inning battles 6-4 Phoenix Cartel on Field 2 in a 6:15 / 7:15 doubleheader...

A big thanks to Juan for braving the elements and putting on a first class Taco-style fiesta this past weekend... If I had been smart enough to take pictures,,, would have dropped one in right here...

As a side note on this being week 6 of season 6,,, this season has been expanded from the standard 8 weeks and 16 games,,, to 9 weeks and 18 games!!!
