We will be taking on 1-5 CADCon Drafting on field 6 in a 8:15 / 9:15 double header ...

OBI Survives 11-Run Inning Salvaging Tie in Game 2

One Bad Inning ,,, happened in Game 2 Thursday night as Greenside Up placed an 11 spot on the board to take a late game 16-15 lead. Two innings later, Greenside Up was held short of their desired comeback win after tying the game in the bottom of the last inning, 18-18 ,,, and having players on first and second base with none out ...

Good Defense and untimely hitting on GU's part helped get OBI to 2-1-1 after two weeks of Season 2 play ... 

Game 1 ended in a 6-run bottom of the 5th inning rally that pushed the score to a 14-4 final ... Juan hit a big fly in the bottom of the 5th to help finish GU off ...

However, we must pay tribute to both the non-Home Run type hitters that abused the GU right fielder ... Inning 2 of game 1 was highlighted by Larry's inside-the-park Grand Slam ... Then, not to be outdone,,, in game 2, clean up hitter Chris Nuta's line drive to right ended up as another Grand Slam ... hmmmmmm is a #4 hitter born ???

All in all ,,, OBI's continued timely hitting and good defense will be required this week as they take on Tri-Lambs and Far From Limpin' in an 8:15 / 9:15 doubleheader on Field #1 ...

Season 2 Opens With a Double Split

Opening week of season 2 was a double split ... OBI (1-1) played a split doubleheader against Greenside Up and then Murphy's Law ... 

Greenside Up (0-2) was knocked down by a count of 15-5 ... Then, per OBI standard operating procedure and Murphy's Law (2-0) ,,, OBI was run ruled 24-4 ...

Not much to say outside of ,,, this week we play Greenside Up twice ... A chance for redemption on their part as we have defeated them 3 or 4 games in succession ...

So, see you this Thursday for 6:15/7:15 doubleheader on field #3 ,,, or as KC likes to call it, the launching pad ...


One happy note, both JR and Stephen are returning this season from injuries ... We shall see if either can last an entire 8 weeks season ... Oh yes we shall ...
